I think the question should be what businesses that are left, should they reopen? Big boys who never closed because they were consider essentials are still going strong. It's the local mom and pop stores we may never see again as well all those stores in malls. Let them reopen if they want but who will have the money to patronize them? That's the big question. I am up in the air about reopening. One way it may help another it will not. If we reopen it will eventually be up to the consumer to what happens. Personally no matter what we do the economy has been trashed to the point it will take along time before it is normal. 26,000,000 out of work now and how many will have there job when this is over. Experts say 500 mall's will close, stores like JC Penny's will go under and how many mon and pop business will be gone. It all has a ripple effect.
The only bright side I see is consumers have really discovered internet buying in a big way. Because of this it could be the death knell for many brick and mortar stores. We are all facing a new world of how the economy will be. Hold onto your seats it's going to be a wild ride no matter which direction we go. Still Totally ADD

The Myth About Jehovah as a "GOD of LOVE".
by smiddy3 ini`ll list a few things and welcome any input, comments you may have .. 1.when adam & eve "sinned" disobeyed him, surely god could have handled it better than to condemn all future generations to disease and death ?.
2.his handling of satan who supposedly seduced eve to disobey god could also have been done a lot differently with a finality to it.. 3.i find little if anything in his dealings with the patriarchs that suggests a loving god protecting them.?.
4.taking on the nation of israel and leading them as his chosen people does not inspire confidence or trust as a god of love.. 5.throughout the hebrew scriptures / old testament his chosen people were constantly at war with other nations which of course would have meant many deaths of the israelite`s during these battles .and the grief that comes with family members in those times.

Smiddy point number 2 was a eye opener for me. In other words punish the victim (Eve) and let the abuser (Satan) go. Now I know where the cult is coming from. Thanks for the thoughts on this subject. Still Totally ADD

Does God listen and answer prayers for coronavirus patients?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inmy cousin has been in a medically induced coma for the last three weeks due to the coronavirus.
we just found out today that he was sent to rehab for physical therapy.
he is awake, cannot walk, and cannot talk due to damage to his vocal cords from being on a ventilator for three weeks.. my cousin has many religious friends who have posted ''get well soon'' messages on his facebook page.

You can get Tom Copeland to spit the virus away. What a piece of work he is. But to answer your question I have seen folks who were help by praying. With that said I believe there is no god and praying is a exercise in talking to yourself or a form of meditation. It has been shown to be very helping in your well being and can help you to get over serious illness. Still Totally ADD

Kids Without Rules
by minimus ini see a lot of kids that rarely get discipline.
they are allowed to do whatever they want and if someone says something to them they don’t want to hear, they blow them off, ignore them or engage in disrespectful talk.. what’s wrong with today’s parents??
they are producing a generation of entitled brats!.

Please remember most of us being raised in the cult had parents who listen to men from the platform who would give talks on child rearing who never had children. Of course there information came from other men who never had no children. I personally wish I would have never listen to what they said. Another example of how destructive this cult is. Coping/Living/Understanding
by justangel ini’m relatively new to this forum but am far from new when it comes to living life as a jw.
i wanted to throw out there my own personal experience and feelings and welcome any conversations (i’m mighty chatty and don’t have much for friends when it comes to jw’s) .
i hit the turning of an era nearly a month ago of legally becoming an adult, raised as a j dub my whole life.

I totally understand where you coming from. Under the borg rule you learned self discipline in their thinking. Learn how you can take that discipline and use it to your advantage when seeking your freedom and becoming your authentic self. This will help you from falling into bad situations that come as a result of being raised in a cult. There is so much good outside the cult but there is also bad. So be careful. It's up to you with this responsibility and no one else's. Good luck to you and remember any problems or questions you have found a place to come and safely get advice or comfort. Take care and welcome. Still Totally ADD

Who is considered more bizarre?
by incognito2014 injws or mormons.
from a public point of view not from people within the religion as that would be obvious.. examples of extreme beliefs or behaviour would be useful..

I may change my answer from a earlier post. As a mormon no coffee. I don't think I could live with that. Lol. Still Totally ADD
